For nearly 20 years, I’ve hosted my own blog here. During that entire time, I used an open source blogging package called b2Evolution. My first post was way back on May 25, 2005. You can find all my old blog posts on the Wayback Machine.
Unfortunately, it seems that b2Evolution is no longer maintained as it hasn’t been updated since 2022. This lack of updates, combined with my web hosting company’s regular updates to the newest version of PHP, ultimately caused my blog to break irrevocably, so I had to wipe it and recreate it, this time in WordPress. I’ll probably try to recreate the old blog posts over time using the Wayback Machine archives, but that’s a job for another day. I’m just happy to have this back up and running again.
