I've picked up a lot of new toys lately and I thought I'd write in with my opinions of them.
The first item is my new noise-cancelling headphones. This is a set of headphones that are designed to automatically cancel out the noise outside of the headphones so that you can better hear the sound in the headphones rather than the noise around you. I originally bought these headphones on eBay for around $20 in order to be able to listen to the iPod on the plane on the way to Paris. It turns out that they are also very useful on my frequent walks around the neighborhood. They do a very good job of cancelling out the sound of the cars driving by on the road, making it much easier to hear the music or whatever, that I am listening to on the iPod. If you frequently try to listen to music in noisy areas, these are a useful and cheap little gadget to get.
